Family Time
Family Time is a course on parenting, developed by Mark and Lindsay Melluish, and based on their book of the same name. Its aim is to provide parents with tools, advice and support to help them raise their family in the best possible way. Based on Christian principles, Family Time is a course that every parent will benefit from, whether Christian or not.
The ultimate aim of Family Time is to encourage families to be united together, where they as individuals share a common vision, hold common values and have a common purpose. We believe Family Time will strengthen the family ties of all those who do the course and provide for people a model or framework from which they can create for themselves a rhythm for family life that allows for reflection, relaxation and adventure together.
This is a 10 week course about parenting children - and is largely aimed at those with children under 12, although much of the material is relevant to those with older children too.
The course is practical and raises many of the chestnuts that we have all come up against in family life from time to time. We hope to provide a resource that enables people to be equipped for the practical issues of parenting children.
But more than that, it is a course about life skills. It is a course that talks about adopting a life style that creates a rhythm in life for families.
So in it we look at the whole family and how we relate to one another as well as how we relate to those around us. It is a course that helps us to stop and reflect, not just on our children, but also on family life. And then having stopped and reflected, it doesn't just leave us there, but encourages us to move on and look at both who we want to be and how we might get there.
